Blue Berry Bowl with Attached Saucer
Years ago my older sister asked me to make her a berry bowl for her birthday. After a few attempts to please her, (not too tall, more holes), I made one that she liked and I’ve been making them ever sense. Because I like to keep things as simple as possible, I did not want an extra, separate dish to catch the water. So the bowl is thrown all in one piece, with the bottom rounded up so the water will flow out of the numerous larger holes near the base. Just fill the bowl with berries, grapes, or veggies, rinse under the faucet, then tilt and drain. I use several of these at a time in my own kitchen. I just keep the bowl filled with fruit in the fridge and take it out after school or before dinner for a healthy snack. The bowl never gets lost in the fridge and I throw out much less food. Without a doubt this is my best selling item at shows. This handmade blue berry bowl is shown with 1 pound of strawberries.
